BackUp data with Norton Ghost | Tutotial

Norton Ghost is a utility to backup and restore data to hard disk drives or other media. To restore the computer use Norton Ghost we should do a backup first. The results of the backup is image that has the extension "GHO". Which will we use these images to restore the computer.

Then, why do we need a backup image of Norton Ghost? Of course it is because we never know when your computer is having problems. Either because there are infected or damaged files. If your computer already experienced it, you can do the following tutorial on your friends computer clean. So this time we will learn how to create image with Norton Ghost.
  1. To run Norton Ghost, we can not through the operating system will be restored. Therefore, we will use the Live CD (I use miniPE). If your computer does not have a CD Rom, you can instead use a Bootable Flash. Do not forget to include Norton Ghost software, in the Live CD or Bootable Flash that you prepared.
  2. If the above purposes is ready, setting the boot option in BIOS, make the first boot the CD Rom if you use the Live CD, if not, adjust the device you use. Then boot using the Live CD and run the Norton Ghost you had. Select Local>> Partition>> To Image.

  3. Determine the hard disk and partition that we will Backup.

  4. Determine the location where you will save the image.

  5. Select the level of compression, if the capacity of small hard disk use "high". (Adjust to your needs)

  6. Confirm, then the backup is performed. Wait until finished and restart your computer. Do not forget to return the boot settings to the original settings.
