Hardware required to run this operating system does not require a high specification. Specifications CPU that can be used to run the IGN in 2009 is an Intel, AMD, Cyrix, and Via. Type specification is supported processors are:
- Recommended for text mode: 200 MHz Pentium, or above
- Recommended for graphical mode: 400 MHz Pentium II or above
- Minimum RAM for text mode: 128 MB
- Recommended RAM for graphical mode: 256 MB
IGN LiveCD version does not require hard disk capacity, while the IGN version of the installer requires hard disk space for installation of at least 10 GB.
